Join us for Spring Wood's PTO FAMILY NIGHT at Coachlite Skate Center, 1201 W Bryn Mawr Ave., Roselle. Monday, Feb. 17th from 6-8pm. $4 entry fee + $4 skate rental. Exclusively reserved for SW students + families. We hope to see you there!
Tryouts begin next Monday 2/10, students must sign-up for tryouts in commons during lunch period and have current physical in school records. There will be three Spring Wood teams - 6th/7th Girls Team, 8th Girls Team and 6th/7th/8th Boys Team. Practices will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 4:15pm. The season will have 10 Games (5 home, 5 away).
Last week SW Staff and Admininistrators volunteered behind the counter during McTeacher's Night FUNdraiser. Their efforts included wearing an apple pie costume, selling apple pie, making ice cream treats, helping at the front counter, delivering meals to customers, calling out orders, and working the drive-thru. They helped to raise money for the school and PTO. Great job teachers and thank you to everyone who stopped by to help support the school!
SWMS PTO is hosting a fundraiser at Wendy's at 1065 E. Lake Street, Hanover Park on Tuesday March 17th from 10am-10pm. Must present flyer (see School News for flyer and more details), 30% of sales will go to the school's PTO. Thank you for your support!
6th Grade science students at Spring Wood worked hard to raise funds to support and adopt a Gray Wolf from the World Wildlife Fund, as part of their life science unit. They showed their passion for caring about wildlife and protecting the Earth and as a thank you, the WWF sent the class a certificate of adoption and a stuffed gray wolf. We are proud of our 6th grade students for thinking globally and taking action!
