Students in many D20 classrooms made creative Valentine's Cards this week to show their love and thanks with veterans. Thank you to Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-08) for leading the Valentine's for Veterans project!
For one of the projects, Ms. Stalzer taught Ryan's 2nd Grade Class at Waterbury how to write in braille for vision-impaired veterans. See Waterbury Photo Galleries for more pictures of this project.
As a reminder, a dental examination is required for all Kindergarten and all 2nd Grade students. Take advantage of an oportunity to have your child's dental exam completed on GIVE KIDS A SMILE DAY on Friday, Feb. 28th from 9am-2pm which is a non-attendance day for District 20.
Free walk-in dental screenings will be done for children ages 1-18 (no appointment needed) by DuPage County Health Department dentists, at the Central Public Health Center, 111 N. County Farm Rd. in Wheaton. Visit District News for more information.
Please note that due to an unexpected scheduling conflict, we are rescheduling the Parent Cafe upcoming presentation on Keeping Kids Safe Online: Social Media Safety & Awareness to THURSDAY, MARCH 12TH at Spring Wood Library from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Food & Childcare will be available.
