Principal Aliano
Mr. Aliano earned his Bachelor of Elementary Education with endorsements in language arts, math, social science, and physical education. He graduated from Illinois State University in 2003. Go Redbirds! Mr. Aliano earned his Master degree of Education in Educational Leadership in 2007 from Aurora University.
Mr. Aliano joined the Keeneyville family in 2003. During his time at Spring Wood he has taught math, social studies and reading. He has worked at all three grade levels at Spring Wood Middle School. Mr. Aliano coached cross-country, girls volleyball, boys basketball, and track. In 2018, he had the opportunity to implement SEL and restorative practices throughout the building. He served as Assistant Principal from 2019-2022 and is excited to be the Principal of Spring Wood Middle School beginning July 2022.
When Mr. Aliano leaves his Spring Wood family for the day, he heads home to his wife (Sarah) and two daughters (Stella-5 and Mia-2). Sarah is a math coach in the St. Charles School district. Mr. Aliano enjoys spending time with family and friends. He enjoys cooking with Stella, taking road trips, trying new restaurants and adding to his shoe collection. Mr. Aliano has great pride being a part of the Spring Wood family. He truly bleeds BLUE and GOLD!
Assistant Principal Foege
Mr. Foege earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University in 2000, with endorsements in physical education and health. He received his driver education endorsement from Chicago University in 2003 and his Master Degree in Educational Leadership in 2010 from Aurora University.
Before joining the Spring Wood family, Mr. Foege taught physical education at Clare Woods Academy where he led a team down state for Special Olympics for 3 years. Mr. Foege joined the Keeneyville family in 2004. During his time at Spring Wood, he taught physical education and health, as well as coaching track, cross country, basketball, volleyball, and track.
When Mr. Foege is not at Spring Wood, he goes home to his wife Amanda who is a regional manager for Bright Horizons. They enjoy taking motorcycle rides or cruising in our 1976 GMO Cutlass. They also have a few pets that they spend time with, including two chocolate labs Jax and Persnickety, a horse Blue, a pony Jackson, 5 chickens, ball python Reggie, and a koi pond with too many fish to name. Mr. Foege is proud to be a part of the Spring Wood family!
Assistant Principal King
Mr. King earned his Bachelor of Communication Studies from Illinois State University in 2005. Redbird Nation! He earned his Master degrees of School Counseling (2008) and Educational Leadership (2014) from Lewis University.
Mr. King is thrilled to join the Keeneyville Family. Prior to Spring Wood Middle School, he was a school counselor at East Aurora High School, Director of Counseling at Geneva High School, and Department Chairperson of Counseling & Student Support Services at Downers Grove North High School. Mr. King has also participated in a variety of school activities and committees. To highlight, he has been an active member of SEL, Equity and PBIS committees at the building as well as district levels. He also coached a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, and gymnastics.
Beyond his new Spring Wood family, Mr. King's family includes his wife Carrie, three children Andrew (7), Nathan (5) and Hailey (4), and boxer dog, Charley (8). Carrie is a Regional Clinical Business Manager for Baxter International.
Outside of the school walls, Mr. King and his wife enjoy supporting their kids' various activities, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. They love to entertain and make sure you are welcomed into their home. Mr. King is more than proud to wear the BLUE and GOLD of Spring Wood Middle School.
